A Series of Unfortunate Events -- for grown-ups

"My Silent Knot" (Featured promenently in The Beatrice Letters) is really an anagram for Lemony Snicket.

Who thinks that there will be a spin off? After reading The Beatrice Letters and The End it seems like the story MUST continue with Beatrice Baudelaire. Everything hints to her trying to find Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. Besides, we still don't know about the sugar bowl! Or so many other things!!!

Anyone heard anything about another book? I mean, it could be THE END of the series (of unfortunate events) but a new Beatruce Series could come about? *hoping*

Hm, well it'd be kinda cool if they just left it where they did. I like ambiguous endings. And I loved the whole idea of beinbg swallowed up by a great unknown.

But hey, everyone has a price and they might convinve poor Lemony to continue his research.

I gotta re-read those letters, maybe try to put them in chronological order. Now that I've found out who the Beatrice's are, it should be easy.

P.S. Why is it Beatrice Baudelaire and not Beatrice Snicket? Why didn't she take her mother's name? Or her father's name???

I think that it's because Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are raising her -- like an adopted child would take the adopted family's name. But really, I think it's so that Lemony Snicket could confuse us! :-P

In "The Beatrice Letters" It sounds as though Lemony and Beatrice have an intimate relationship... which is kind of weired due toi the fact that Lemony is Beatrice's Uncle.

Lemony Snicket had an intimate relationship with the OTHER Beatrice-- Vioet, Klaus, and Sunny's mother. There are letters to/from both of them in the book. :)

Presumably No. She perished in the fire along with their father making them orphans and starting the series off in the first place...

yes, but it says that he's looking for the orphans and it said that she is 10 years old. (BB to LS #6) and the way that the pictures are set out, it's after they were on the island because you see the remains of the boat that they were sailing on. And on the front, suspiciously linked to book the thirteenth that's why I think that the book is about Beatrice, Kit's daugter, not the siblings mother.

I bought the sugar bowl at a yard sale before any of Olaf's henchman or Esme was able to make off with it. It's securely stored in a heavily guarded trunk in the closet on my back patio. Sadly, the sugarcubes contained within had gone to mush after floating around for so long and my tea was bitter as wormwood.

Yeah, and we still don't know about the "Unknown" and what happened to the Quagmires.
